The Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center is a non-profit cultural museum dedicated to the Smokies. Located in scenic Townsend, right near the entrance to the national park, it is a wonderful tribute to the spirit and personality of the “Quiet Side of the Smokies.” Throughout the year, they host a variety of events, including the beloved Christmas in the Village event that takes place each winter.

During Christmas in the Village, you can experience Smoky Mountain traditions and demonstrations while enjoying warm refreshments! Step back into a pioneer celebration where history interpreters guide you through a decorated historic Appalachian village. Guests can grab kettle corn and hot cider to enjoy as they explore.

This weekend is the last weekend for Christmas in the Village 2022. Don't miss the fun on December 16 and 17, 2022.
