Have a Snow Day at Ober Gatlinburg

This past week, we got snow in east Tennessee. For some of you in the north, this may not sound like a big deal, but those of you who've spent time in this area know that Tennesseans take even a little bit of snow very seriously. If you're like me, you love the snow and all of the activities that accompany it. I was thrilled when I woke up to a sea of white because it meant I could go sledding! I wish I could go sledding all of the time, but it normally isn't feasible. Luckily, I live close to Gatlinburg and I can take advantage of Ober Gatlinburg whenever I want!

Year-round, Ober Gatlinburg is a hub for outdoors activities of all kinds. Their peak season is winter, and for good reason! Ober Gatlinburg is Tennessee's only skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing destination. Ski and snowboard season begins mid-December and lasts through March, so visitors have plenty of time to enjoy the slopes! And don't worry if you don't own any ski gear because Ober Gatlinburg rents out equipment, including clothing.
