Most of us have seen animals like camels, zebras, and kangaroos at the zoo. Most of us haven't actually gotten up close and personal with one of them, however. If you've ever wanted to pet an exotic animal, then you should come on down to the Smoky Mountains and pay a visit to Smoky Mountain Deer Farm and Exotic Petting Zoo!

At Smoky Mountain Deer Farm and Exotic Petting Zoo, you can get fully immersed with wildlife. Here, you can walk amongst, pet, and feed incredible animals such as Rocky Mountain elk, baby goats, camels, zebras, zonkies, emu, kangaroos, and Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs! Still not tempted? If you're like me and you worry about animal welfare at attractions such as this, know that Deer Farm has a full time zoo-keeping staff and regular veterinary help. The environment is kept clean, and safety is insured for animals and guests alike. The owners are lifelong animal lovers who spent years working in nuclear physics in order to amass enough money to follow their passion and open an exotic animal farm. The amount of love (and research!) going into Deer Farm is comforting and inspiring.

Bring your camera and take LOTS of pictures! Friends and family will be so jealous that you got to interact with something wild like a zebra or a Watusi!
